The Definition of Superbike
The Superbike class has been defined for the past decade by the RSV4. The Chassis and the Narrow 65 degree V4 paired with Rider Max Biaggi claimed the 2010 World Super Bike Championship. Adding to Aprilias long list of championships the new V4 Proved to be what every Motorcyclist desired. An engine designed for racing, with an extremely usable powerband, and an exhaust note that was previously only heard on the Moto GP Grid. Since Then other manufactures have been trying to play catch up with the legendary V4.
2022 RSV4
Refinements made continually every year made the previous generation RSV4 one of the best track motorcycles anyone can buy. New Modifications have made the new generation even better. The new Moto GP inspired underslung Swingarm is stiffer, lighter and lowers the bikes center of gravity. New Body work creates downforce and adds stability at the track under hard acceleration or brakes, and when holding the throttle wide open. New Ohlins Electronic Suspension allows both semi active functionality and easy on the fly adjustments with no extra tools required.
1099cc & APRC
With the included Ride by Wire and APRC Systems Aprilia knew they could start bumping the power levels up even more. Now Displacing 1099ccs and producing 217 Horsepower. The RSV4s APRC suite includes features like multiple engine maps, traction control and ABS levels. When you decide you want to change settings or modes everything is easily accessible through the switches on the LH Bar.
Transmission
When the pistons churn out 217HP you need a seemless transmission package to get that power to the ground. A Cassette style gearbox gives you accurate gear shifts. The Assist/Slipper Clutch creates a lighter lever pull while forcing the clutch plates together when under acceleration. While the Slipper function prevents the rear wheel from hopping under aggressive downshifts. Utilizing the Quick shifter will help drop lap times even further. Up and Down capability with years of fine tuning have made Aprilias Quick-shifter the best on the grid.
Brakes
With Top Speed capabilities well over 190mph, Aprilia knew there was only one manufacture of brakes to partner with. Dual Brembo Stylema Calipers clamping 330mm floating front discs, will make you glad the this bike also has ABS with Rear Wheel lift Mitigation
